Very nice experience there. The place was overall clean, well-appointed rooms. Unbeatable location in a central area close enough to city and transport links, a market place with shops, restaurants and bars and the main square and Christmas markets. 15 minutes' walk to Altstadt-Spaziergange durch Basel. Generous breakfast selection, attentive stuff. Great service, public parking available nearby. Not to mention very good wifi...

It's a nice hotel with a new fresh design. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I also like the idea that the profits go into a charity, the hotel is actually owned by a charity. Room to the back side of the street was quiet. Breakfast was good.
Towels and equipment in bathroom was a bit cheap or old.

Comfortable room, helpful staff, with easy access via bus number 30 to the hotel from the train station, ensuring a convenient stay with all essential amenities including a lovely garden area for breakfast.

We had a great time at the Steinenschanze hotel. We came with our little baby girl and the room was ready to welcome her. The staff was very nice and pleasant and our beds were so comfortable. Moreover, the hotel is just 5 min walk from the town centre. The breakfast (included in the price) is good and there is enough choice for all tastes. When the weather is good it is very nice to have breakfast outside ! I recommend you this hotel
It is still a little bit expensive.
